This is the perfect time of year to find a few glass pieces at yard sales and thrift stores.  Yard sales you can usually pick these kinds of things up for a $.25 or $.50.   Why not make a few in differing sizes?  Add some additional interest to the table and it looks like something you’d pay big $ to have a designer do it for you.

I’ve always been a flats kind of gal but these these are stunning! And ladies if you don’t normally wear heels this high don’t think that just because it’s your wedding day that they get any easier to wear. Don’t even look at the price. They’re as much as some brides pay for their dress. But ladies have you seen all those DIY chiffon flowers? I’m just saying.

Here goes my take on instructions:

Cover the inside of the vintage  suitcase with some vintage style wallpaper or wrapping paper.

Wrap twine or baker’s twine around it and secure it on the back.
Print table assignments onto card stock.  Looks like the bride gave the tables cute names.
Add embellishments of birds/tags.
Add small flower vases for additional details.

This is absolutely adorable and I love the twist for using it for table assignments instead of cards!!!

I am not sure what language this post is in.  It must be Swedish or something and she did not have a translation for it.  I think this was done as a gift, that is why the twine is there.

But picture this for a wedding.  Cup and saucer, sugar and creamer will do.  Just add some moss between the sections and viola.  You can find all sorts of plates for $.99 at the local goodwill and thrift stores.   Or better still find them cheaper at yard sales.  They add some height by stacking them with moss.  And they do not have to match.

I may have to try my hand at this later this week after the snow melts.  I have some moss growing in the backyard.  Check back later this week.

Let us start with the bouquet.

Did you notice the grape vine cleverly wrapped around the bouquet?  A simply beautiful bouquet of white roses accented with the green and wrapped with the grapevine.   Beautiful, yet not a budget buster.

The aisle has turquoise containers in varying heights.  These have an “earthy” feel to them.  Different colors and sizes for birdcages.  There’s a small grouping created at each one.  I also like the draping of the amaranthus over the side of the vases.  Brides you could do the flowers more economically by doing some substitutions, such as ivy, for the amaranthus.   Love the height created with the curly willow!  Those metal galvanized flower buckets would also work for a tight budget.  Just paint and distress them or leave them metallic.  The look is up to you. 

Here is a close up of one of the smaller vases used.  Listen up brides.  Michaels is beginning to get in their birdcages and you can find a 40-50% coupon almost every week on the website.  They  usually have earthy type vases in the garden collection.  Keep checking their sales and use their coupons!  Same information applies to Hobby Lobby only I don’t see the number of birdcages I do at Michaels.

What a great way to display escort cards.  The site said this was an old door.  Hum… Can not really tell from the picture.  Why not use old wooden screen door or what about a white piece of lattice with the ribbon stretched across it? And I think I might add a little lace to those clothespin.  Bird patterns are every where on the internet.
